The Israel Security Agency serves the state of Israel and protects it from threats of terror, espionage, sabotage, subversion, and the exposure of state secrets, according to the ISA Statute of 2002.
Allegiance to the nation, love of the people and the land, and a deep feeling of purpose are central values of the ISA. This is how we choose our employees, and this is how we train them for their challenging and complex missions. We, in the ISA, work against terror – the central threat which the ISA confronts, together with our colleagues and friends in the IDF, the Mossad, and the Israel police. The majority of the ISA’s strength, human resources and varied and sophisticated abilities are directed against this threat.
The ISA also acts against other threats, whose damage is not immediately apparent: espionage and political subversion with the intention of undermining democratic government.
In order to succeed in its missions, the ISA maintains itself as a modern organization at the forefront of technology, employs cutting-edge management methods and, most importantly, highly talented individuals eager to contribute to the state.
Understandably, extensive areas of ISA activity are confidential. Nonetheless, we would like to give you some insight into the ISA, its values, and elements of its heritage and missions.
