A Year since Cast Lead
A year since Cast Lead operation, a marked decrease in the number of Gaza-Strip terror attacks is evident. It is especially prominent in the high-trajectory shooting outline (rockets and mortar shells) towards Israel and Israeli targets.

Thus, in the course of 2009 (as of Dec. 23, 2009), 566 rockets have been launched towards Israel as well as 287 mortar shells, in comparison to 2048 rockets and 1668 mortar shells launched in 2008.
A major part of this shooting was conducted during Cast Lead: 401 rockets and 135 mortar shells were launched towards Israel. Hence, the shooting extent de facto after the operation is only 165 rockets and 152 mortar shells. These numbers indicate a significant decline in the extent of high trajectory shooting from the Gaza Strip.
