Monthly summary – March 2011
March 2011 has seen a significant increase in the number of attacks compared to recent months: 128 attacks as opposed to 61 in February and 83 in January 2011. In the Jerusalem area 42 attacks were executed in March (20 in February), and in the Judea and Samaria area: 36 attacks (as opposed to 23 in February).

March has seen 6 fatalities: 5 family members had been murdered in a stabbing attack in Itamar (March 12), and a tourist was killed in an explosive device attack in Jerusalem.

27 Israelis were injured, 23 in the above mentioned attack in Jerusalem, 2 in mortar shell and rocket launching attacks (March 19, 23), and one casualty – an Israeli security officer – as a result of object / stone throwing in Judea (March 25).
