The increase is mainly affected by Gaza-based attacks: 20 attacks as opposed to 5 in June (and 3 in May). The Judea and Samaria area has  also seen a slight increase in the number of attacks: 25 attacks as opposed to 19 in June. 

Jerusalem, however, has experienced a decline in the number of attacks: 8 attacks as opposed to 22 in June.
Terrorist attacks conducted this month did not result in any casualties, as opposed to 3 in June.

Following is a regional distribution of attacks:

 20 attacks in the Gaza Strip (5 in June); 25 attacks in the Judea and Samaria (19 in June); and 8 attacks in Jerusalem (22 in June).

Jerusalem and the Judea and Samaria area: Most attacks executed in July (32 out of 33) were in the form of firebombs (June: 40 out of 41).

The Gaza Strip – 20 attacks: 17 rocket launching; 1 mortar shell launching; 1 small arms shooting and 1 explosive device.

Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem – 33 attacks: 1 explosive device and 32 firebombs (8 in Jerusalem).

Throughout July  2011, 20 rockets and 2 mortar shell were launched towards Israel (in 18 attacks), compared to 4 rockets and 1 mortar shell in June 2011(in 5 attacks).
