On the other hand, October has seen a decrease in the number of attacks in the Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem as opposed to September: 28 attacks in the Judea and Samaria area (39 in September) and 6 in Jerusalem (17 in September). 

One Israeli was killed on October 29 and another was injured as a result of rocket launchings towards Israel; three others were injured – one by a stabbing attack in Jerusalem on October 22,  and two others (a security officer and a civilian) by firebombs in Judea on October 11 and 21, respectively.

Throughout October 2011, 52 rockets and 6 mortar shells were launched towards Israel (in 43 attacks), compared to 8 rockets and 2 mortar shells in September 2011 (in 9 attacks).
