Throughout May there were 51 terror attacks, as compared with 69 attacks in April. An Israeli civilian was killed and 4 Israelis were injured (as opposed to one fatality and 5 wounded last month).

An Israeli civilian was killed and 4 Israelis were injured (as opposed to one fatality and 5 wounded last month).
Following are details of the prominent attacks:
• An assault attack within the Green Line (Ashdod, May 10) – one fatality.
• A stabbing attack within the Green Line (Ramat Gan, May 3) – a wounded soldier.
• A shooting attack in Samaria (May 21) – 2 security forces personnel wounded.
• A Molotov cocktail throwing in Judea (May 1) – one security forces personnel wounded.

Data regarding casualties in terror attacks
During May one Israeli civilian, a taxi-driver, was killed in an attack in Ashdod (May 10).
In other attacks in May, 4 Israelis were wounded, all security forces personnel: one in a stabbing attack within the Green Line (Ramat Gan, May 3), 2 in a shooting attack in Samaria (May 21), and one in a Molotov cocktail throwing in Judea (May 1).

Details of attacks throughout May
This month is characterized by a decline in the number of attacks: 51 attacks, compared with 69 in April. The attacks' distribution according to a regional profile: 32 attacks in Judea and Samaria; 15 attacks in the Gaza Strip; 2 attacks within the Green Line; 2 attacks in the Jerusalem area.

In the Gaza Strip area – an increase in the number of attacks compared with last month: 15 compared with 12 in April. Main increase in the mortar shells launching pattern: 8 attacks as opposed to 2 in April.
In Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem – a high number of attacks is maintained, in a pattern of Molotov cocktail throwing: 31 out of 34 attacks this month, compared with 49 out of 57 attacks in April.
