Monthly Summary – June 2009
Throughout June there were 38 terrorist attacks as opposed to 51 in May. There were no Israeli casualties (as opposed to May when one Israeli casualty and four Israelis were injured). There is a decrease in the number of attacks compared to previous months. The main decrease is in the West Bank. However, the Gaza Strip maintains a similar level of terrorist attacks despite a decrease in rocket launchings.

Data regarding casualties in terrorist attacks
Throughout June there were no casualties in terrorist attacks as opposed to one casualty and four injured Israelis in May.

Data regarding terrorist attacks in June
There is another decrease in the amount of attacks: 38 attacks as opposed to 51 in May.

Distribution of attacks according to regions: 18 in the West Bank area, 16 in the Gaza Strip area, and four in the Jerusalem area.

The Gaza Strip – the number of attacks is almost similar to May: 16 in June as opposed to 15 in May.

The West Bank and Jerusalem ─ there is a decrease in the number of attacks: 22 in June as opposed to 32 in May. Jerusalem still has a similar number of attacks (four in June, similar to May and April). Most of the attacks (20) were Molotov cocktail throwing (31 out of 34 Molotov cocktail throwing attacks in May).
