In the area of Jerusalem, there is also an increase in the number of attacks (18 attacks as opposed to 10 in November). On the other hand, in the Judea and Samaria area there is a slight decline in the number of attacks (18 as opposed to 20 in November).
As for victims of terror attacks – one Israeli citizen was injured (December 8) as a result of a mortar shell launched from the Gaza Strip to Israel.

Following is regional distribution of attacks:
38 attacks in the Gaza Strip (as opposed to 22 in November); 18 attacks in the Judea and Samaria area (20 in November); and 18 attacks in Jerusalem (as opposed to 10 in November).
The Judea and Samaria area and Jerusalem – most of the attacks (33 out of 36) were in the form of firebombs (as opposed to 29 out of 30 in November).

The Gaza Strip – 38 attacks: 13 rocket launchings, 17 mortar shell launchings, 6 small arms shootings, and 2 AT launching.
Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem – 36 attacks: 1 stabbing (in Jerusalem); 1 grenade throwing; 1 small arms shooting, 33 Molotov cocktail throwing (18 in Jerusalem).
High-trajectory launchings from the Gaza Strip
Throughout December 2010, 15 rockets and 38 mortar shells were launched towards Israel (in 30 attacks) compared to 5 rockets and 28 mortar shells in November (in 16 attacks). De facto, this is a significant increase in the number of high trajectory launchings towards Israel, as opposed to previous months.
