The decrease in the number of attacks is prominent in the area of Jerusalem (6 attacks, compared to 27 attacks in March) and in Judea and Samaria (25 attacks compared to 62).
In the Gaza Strip the decrease is more moderate: 25 attacks compared to 36 last month. Yet, an increase was noted in the number of mortar shell launchings: 10 attacks in which 18 mortar shells were launched as opposed to 5 attacks in which 6 mortar shells were launched in March.
Following the decrease in the number of attacks, a decrease was also noted in the number of casualties from terror activity: In April one Israeli citizen was injured (April 1) as a result of stone/object throwing in Samaria. In March 3 people were killed and 4 injured.

In April a marked decrease was noted in the number of attacks compared to March, and the number of attacks is similar to the number in February. 56 attacks were carried out in April compared to 125 in March and 53 in February 2010.
