Throughout April there were 69 terror attacks executed, as compared with 124 attacks in March. An Israeli boy was killed and 5 Israelis were injured (casualties who were not taken to hospital are not counted).
 

Throughout April there were 69 terror attacks executed, as compared with 124 attacks in March. An Israeli boy was killed and 5 Israelis were injured (casualties who were not taken to hospital are not counted).
 
Following are details of the prominent attacks:
• A stabbing attack in Bat Ayn (April 2) – one killed and one wounded.
• A running-over attack in the Hizme checkpoint (April 18) near Jerusalem – two policemen wounded.
• A shooting attack in Samaria (April 24) – one Israeli wounded.
• A pistol shooting attack towards a border-police base at Shoket junction (April 4) – no casualties.
• A running-over attack in Jerusalem (April 7) – 3 policemen lightly wounded were treated locally by a paramedic.
• An infiltration attack to Beit Hagai (April 17) – no casualties
• Exploding an explosive boat (April 13) in the vicinity of an IDF ship opposite Gaza coastline – no casualties.

Data regarding fatalities in terror attacks
During April one Israeli teenager was killed in Bat Ayn in a stabbing attack.
In other attacks in April, 5 Israelis were wounded: 3 civilians and 2 security forces personnel.
In addition, 3 policemen were wounded in a running-over attack in Jerusalem, and were treated locally by a paramedic.

Distribution of casualties:
1 in a stabbing attack mentioned above (April 2); 1 in a throwing stone/object attack in Samaria (April 7); 2 in a running-over attack in Hizme checkpoint near Jerusalem (April 18); 1 in a shooting attack in Samaria (April 24).

Monthly distribution of attacks by region and pattern profile
Throughout April, 69 attacks were executed, compared to 124 in March. There is a prominent decrease in attacks from the Gaza Strip: 12 attacks compared to 72 in March.
 
In the West Bank and Jerusalem: the number of Molotov cocktail throwing attacks is prominent – a total of 49 attacks in this pattern out of 57 attacks in April.

Following are details of the attacks:
In the West Bank and Jerusalem – 57 attacks (as opposed to 46 last month):
1 explosive charge, 2 small arms shootings; 2 stabbings; 2 running-over (1 in Jerusalem); 1 stone/object throwing; 49 Molotov cocktail throwing (3 in Jerusalem).
Total number of attacks in Jerusalem: four, like last month.

In the Gaza Strip – 12 attacks (as compared to 72 last month): 6 rocket launchings; 2 mortar shell launchings; 2 explosive charge attacks; 2 small arms shootings.
